This is a transcript of the TRC Section 29 in-camera inquiry of Craig Michael Williamson held at Johannesburg on 03 February 1998, pp. 1-146.
This account discusses Williamsons’ work for Section 4 the clandestine branch of the Security Branch. Williamson had to attend university and become involved in left wing activities to identify SACP involvement. He reported on strategic and tactical information from student organisations. He worked for National Union of South African Students (NUSAS) for several years as treasurer and in other executive positions.
This record was released by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ) in response to Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) request SAH-2013-DOJ-0003.
The first release of this record on 2015/01/12 had pages 1-10 missing. The subsequent release on 2015/12/17 by DOJ was a clean copy.
