In South Africa we celebrate Women’s Day on August 9th. This is in commemoration of the women who marched against pass laws in South Africa requiring all African persons to carry documents permitting entrance into white-only areas. National Women’s Day commemorates the strength and bravery of these women and those who followed. The posters below are visual reminders that women had to fight for their rights.
