This poster is an offset litho in black, produced by the Media Committee at the University of Cape Town. This poster refers to Siphiwe Mtimkulu who disappeared after alleging that he was poisoned by police while in detention. He is still missing. This poster exposes the atrocities of the Namibian war, which was part of a series used at a guerrilla theatre in shopping centres in the Western Cape. The text reads: “SIPHIWO MTIMKULU : STUDENT LEADER : DETAINED. POISONED. MISSING.” on page 143 (number 258) of the 1991 SAHA / Ravan Press edition and the 2004 SAHA / STE Publishers edition. |
