Description: This poster is an offset litho in black and yellow, produced by Emile Maurice and issued by the Projects Committee Library, University of the Witwatersrand, late 1976 or early 1977. The image depicts a hand that holds a stamp marked “Police Bill”. Also note the early use of the Hector Pieterson image. The text reads: “POLICE BILL WHO FOOTS THE BILL?” Digitised by Specialised Archival Solutions in 2009. Reproduced in "Images of Defiance: South African Resistance posters in the 1980s" on page 5 (number 6) of the 1991 SAHA / Ravan Press edition and the 2004 SAHA / STE Publishers edition. It also appears on page 58 of “Red on Black: The Story of the South African Poster Movement”, SAHA / STE Publishers, 2007.
