This is a digital born photograph of a section of the Anti-War march in downtown Johannesburg in 2003. After the US invasion of Iraq and the global spread of the more generalised 'war against terror', the Anti-Privatisation Forum (APF) along with several other social movements, peace organisations and NGO's formed the Anti-War Coalition (AWC) as part of an internationalist politics. Over a two year period in 2003-2004, the Johannesburg section of the Coalition held several public educational and direct action activities, such as this march that brought together about 2000-3000 people on the streets.
