This is a transcript of the TRC Section 29 in-camera inquiry of Hertzog Lerm, held in Johannesburg on 29 November 1996. Hertzog Lerm was the Brigadier and former police commissioner at KwaNdebele. Hertzog approached the TRC voluntarily to dispute allegations made against him during Parson Commission, this included his involvement in Human Rights Violations such as unlawful arrests and house raids and the murder of Piet Ntuli amongst other crimes. This record was released by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development in response to Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) request SAH-2013-DOJ-0003. |
