Description:	This poster is silkscreened red, produced by AYCO at STP in 1984, Johannesburg. This poster relates to an Alexander Youth Congress printing workshop, which was held at their annual general meeting. One of the posters produced marked the death of Hector Pieterson, the first person to die in the Soweto uprising of 1976. Note the police confiscation signature in the bottom right hand corner.The text reads: "REMEMBER JUNE - 16". Digitised by Specialised Archival Solutions in 2009. Reproduced in "Images of Defiance: South African Resistance posters in the 1980s" on page 107 (number 193) of the 1991 SAHA / Ravan Press edition and the 2004 SAHA / STE Publishers edition. It is also included in SAHA virtual exhibition - 'The Future is Ours: Commemorating Youth in the Struggle'.
