Description:	This is part 6 of 10 records that discuss the plane crash of President Samora Machel. This is a transcript of the TRC Section 29 in-camera inquiry of Craig Williamson, held in Cape Town on 4 June 1998. This record canvasses Williamson's alleged involvement in a South African plot to down Samora Machel's plane, an allegation which he roundly rejects. He denies all involvement, as well as any knowledge of suggested collaborators. He puts a lot down to rumor and misinformation based on the climate of extreme hostility 1985-86, with lots of misinformation from both Mozambique and South Africa. This record was released by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development in response to Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) request SAH-2013-DOJ-0003.
