IMPORTANCE NOTICE TO RESEARCHERS: TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RELOCATION OF SAHA READING ROOM - MARCH TO APRIL 2024

The SAHA reading room, currently situated in room 217 on the second floor of the Robert Sobukwe Block, will permanently closed its doors in March 2024 when SAHA's archival holdings will be moved to the Education Library on the Education Campus in Parktown. The reading room will relocate to the Archive basement in the Education Library where SAHA's archival materials will be made accessible to researchers from May 2024. 

To consult the archives, please browse our online collection descriptions and inventories to identify which collections may be of interest to you. You can then email Arianna Lissoni (Arianna.Lissoni@wits.ac.za) who will assist with your archival request and schedule your research appointment to access SAHA archival materials in the reading room at the Education Library.
