This digital colour photograph of Abraham Nkiwane was taken by Mary Ndlovu during the interview she conducted with Nkiwane for the South African History Archive (SAHA) as part of the ZAPU/Zenzo Nkobi oral history project on 24.11.2010. In his interview Abraham Nkiwane refers to his recruitment by Joshua Nkomo in 1962 to bring weapons from Tanzania. He also discusses relations with ZANU and the formation of the Patriotic Front, as well as the alliance with other liberation movements and how they assisted each other. He expresses considerable bitterness against the British for their championing of ZANU.
