Description: |
This is a digital born photograph of a wall mural done in Phiri, Soweto in 2007. This mural speaks directly to the devastating impact of prepaid water meters on HIV-positive residents who are in need of much greater amounts of water as result of their illness. One of the favourite 'media-publicity' activities of the Anti-Privatisation Forum (APF) and its affiliates was the creation of wall murals in communities (which often turned into festive, all-day events).
