Description: |
This is a digital born photograph of an Anti-Privatisation Forum (APF) activist busy bypassing a resident's prepaid water meter in Soweto, Johannesburg in 2006. As part of their 'Operation Vulamanzi' ('Operation Water Flow') campaign, APF activists assisted thousands of township households - with particular focus on pensioners and HIV-positive residents - to by-pass their prepaid water meters so that they could enjoy an uninterrupted flow of water.
