GALLERY: 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children

The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children is an international awareness raising campaign. The campaign runs from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10 December (International Human Rights Day) every year and includes Universal Children’s Day and World AIDS Day.

South Africa adopted this campaign in 1998. The theme for this year’s campaign is “Count me in: together moving a non-violence South Africa forward”. In support of this campaign SAHA draws on a selection of posters to raise awareness of the negative impact of violence against women and children. The posters used in this gallery carry a strong message and calls for an end to violence and abuse against women and children.
